Castor Oil

Castor Oil is a thick, glossy oil like no other — clear to pale gold, with a soft, natural, earthy aroma. It's around 90% ricinoleic acid, which gives it its lovely anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and moisturising character, along with a little vitamin E and phytosterols.

INCI: Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil

Wonderful for: a rich emollient and humectant that draws moisture to the skin — gorgeous in cleansers, moisturisers and make-up removers. It also adds beautiful shine to hair.

What to make with it: brilliant in lip balms and glosses, where it gives that lovely shine and holds pigment beautifully, plus haircare, balms, butters, scrubs, creams and emulsions. Use at up to 100%.

• Sticks well and stays put — perfect for highly pigmented products like lipsticks and mascaras
• Heat-stable, with good oxidation stability and slow absorption
• Cold-pressed from the seeds of the castor plant
