Shea Butter

Shea Butter is the queen of butters — rich, creamy and deeply nourishing, and an absolute joy to work with.

INCI: Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter

Wonderful for: dry, thirsty and mature skin. Rich in vitamins A and E, it softens, soothes and protects.

What to make with it: body butters, balms, lip balms, creams, lotions and soaps.

Good to know:

• Solid at room temperature, melts on contact with the skin
• Can be used at up to 100% in anhydrous products like balms and butters
• Add to the oil phase, and avoid overheating (temper it) to keep it lovely and smooth rather than grainy
